Do A style halter tops accentuate the lower body?
I am tall and a bit heavy. My shoulders are normal, not too wide or narrow, and my breasts are not too big. As usual, the weight problem is centered around my hips and a bit on the stomach. I have kind of a pear shaped body.
I was thinking of sewing a halter top out of two big identical scarves. The result would be the A style with the top part of the A folded over inside, sewed and a string of beads passed through as straps. The straps will go over each shoulder and not around the neck.
The bottom will be wide enough to not bunch up around the stomach. Do you think this style will accentuate my lower imperfections?
I pear shaped not because my shoulders are too narrow but because of the extra weight below.
If you make the top more noticeable with bead work than it will draw the attention away from your stomach area. Also if you wear some long necklaces they will elongate your upper half&again make the stomatch area less noticeable. For the pear shaped people accentuate ur waist and neck lines with colour dressing ur lower body in darker tones. Try to wear a-line or flared skirts, flared trousers or straight leg to hide thick thighs. Low rised dark jeans give the illusion of slimer hips and bum. Stay away from body hugging skirts, full skirts, ones with large pockets, jeans with embriodery on the back pocket, bubble dresses and high waisted shorts/trousers
