Is there anything I can do to keep the tarnish off of my silver jewlery? I have to clean it so often:(?
Seems like every time i pull a necklace from my jewlery box, it is all swirled over with icky brown tarnish. So i clean it (using a liquid dip that rinses it away) wear it, put it away, and the next time i pull it out- same thing. It needs cleaning again. Bad. Is there anything I can do to my jewlery, any type of polish or something that i can use to hold onto that 'clean' a little bit longer?
I use a silver polishing cloth. There are various brands, some called Sunshine clothes. They usually start out yellow and turn black with polishing. You can use them for some time. They will shine your jewelry up pretty well and the shine seems to last longer. The cloth will make your hands feel a bit goopy, but the shine is quite nice. Also, store your jewelry in a jewelry roll as exposure to the air causes tarnish faster.
