Where to get cheap appraisal of diamonds for purpose of reselling?
I have 0.5 ctw diamond studs that I would like to sell. Long story short: gift from now ex-boyfriend. These are small, but pretty nice diamonds (VVS-VS, F/G in color) and I think/hope I can get a decent penny for these, but only if I have some kind of appraisal, especially since I can't even remember exactly what their quality is. I don't want to spend alot on the appraisal because I'm not even sure how much I can get for these. I live in LA and could go to the Diamond District. Should I go to one of these wholesalers or what?

Diamond mining originated in India. Prior to the discovery of diamonds in Africa in 1867, these gems were extraordinarily rare available only to royalty and the upper classes.
