give it 6 weeks and keep putting ear piecing cleaning fluid on it and turn the stud. after that you can put silver in but gold is best. make sure the earring is comfortable when it is in and doesn't make it bleed like some sleepers do. it's tempting but don't rush to change the original stud because it could get infected. i've got 8 ear piecings now and this is the only way i stopped infections.
