Vauxhall / Opal Astra 2000 reversing light wiring for reversing sensors?

After 3 small knocks while reversing in 3 weeks I've bought a set of reversing sensors for my daughters Astra but am having problems with the wiring.
The instructions tell me to connect 1 wire to the reversing light wire at the rear light cluster, and the other to earth.
How do I tell which wire is the reversing light wire?

Dear Neil,

I have done the same with my car, but only in my opel it was an
white cable with a black stripe (3rd one from the top).
If you have a volt meter (6-12 volts) turn on ignition(DO NOT START CAR) put in reverse and disconnect terminal, now check on which wire there is power, thats your wire.

You can also try this;
Turn on ignition (DO NOT START CAR) put in reverse and check if reverse lights are on, disconnect the terminal from the light cluster.
Reverse lights should be off now.
Now connect the earth (from the sensors) to metal on the car, and the put the other wire in one of the openings (5)from the terminal and try all off them until you hear your sensor working. You might have to make a movement in front off the sensor to make it work.

P.s.; make sure your lights are turned off!!!

Gemstone is an encompassing word used to describe a wide variety of minerals used for beaded jewelry and adornment. Gemstones can be classified as either precious or semi-precious. Gemstone beads are often treated to enhance durability and/or color.

Semi Precious Gemstone Beads come in a variety of sizes and shapes. They are usually polished and faceted, donut-shaped, rough-cut or chips. They can be very expensive depending on the stone or the size, and yet chips are ready drilled and inexpensive.
There are different qualities of semi precious gemstones and color can vary enormously. Following are some examples of popular gemstones:

Turquoise is a semi precious gemstone. Turquoise, which has captivated man's imagination for centuries. It's color ranges from sky blue to green and is a vibrant light blue stone often seen in southwestern jewelry. It is reasonably priced and ethnically Middle Eastern.
Amethyst Beads are made from purple, lilac and mauve quartz. The highest quality is transparent. Amethyst is an affordable purple gemstone.

Agate Beads are made from Agate stone. Agate is a distinctly banded variety of Chalcedony, which is a variety of Quartz gemstones composed of layers of quartz, sometimes of different colors. When it is concentrically banded (often in rather wild patterns) it is called by the subvaritey name "agate." When it is in flat layers/bands it is called by the subvariety name "onyx." It comes in most colors and there are several types of Agate. Common ones are: blue lace agate, moss agate, tree agate and petrified wood. 
Malachite Beads are a beautiful green earth color with black bands.

Quartz (Rock Crystal) Beads are made from the the most common gem variety of quartz crystal. Like all quartz, it is formed from the two most abundant elements in the earth's crust: silicon and oxygen. Quartz is colorless and transparent. It is also known as "Rock Crystal". Other colors of quartz have special names such as: Rose Quartz (pink or peach), Citrine (yellow or lemon), and Amethyst (purple or mauve). It is popular for its healing qualities.
Opal Beads are usually white, clear, pale red or black, and emit brilliant flashes of multi-colored light. Opal is related to its more commonly found but highly crystalline cousins quartz and agate, and is formed from amorphous "balls" or lumps" of silica rather that from ordered, naturally faceted crystals. The most striking quality of opal is its ability to refract and reflect specific wavelengths of light. In fact, the term "opalescence" was coined to describe this phenomenon. The interplay of these pure wavelengths of light gives opal its unique visual appeal, and makes it one of the most sought-after gemstone beads in the world.

Onyx Beads are made from a rich-looking, affordable black stone named Onyx, which also comes in brown, white and grey. Onyx is very similar to Agate: it has straight bands of brown, white or black whereas Agate has curved lines of many colors. It is often mixed with pearls to create elegant jewelry.

Jade Beads are chiefly valued by their color and freedom from cracks. Jade should have a 'greasy' appearance when it is polished. Colors will range from the many shades of green, to yellow, red, black, and white. Lavender Jade is the most highly valued, and also the rarest forms of the stone.

Tiger Eye Beads are black with iron oxide staining which gives them yellow and golden brown stripes. Tiger Eye stone is a type of chatoyant quartz. Generally, you will not find faceted tiger eye. This stone is often called "Tiger's Eye" or simply "Tiger Eye".

Krobo beads

Krobo bead (fused glass fragments)

Krobo powder glass beads are made in vertical molds fashioned out of a special, locally dug clay. Most molds have a number of depressions, designed to hold one bead each, and each of these depressions, in turn, has a small central depression to hold the stem of a cassava leaf. The mold is filled with finely ground glass that can be built up in layers in order to form sequences and patterns of different shapes and colours. The technique could be described as being somewhat similar to creating a sand "painting" or to filling a bottle with different-coloured sands and is called the "vertical-mold dry powder glass technique". When cassava leaf stems are used, these will burn away during firing and leave the bead perforation. Certain powder glass bead variants, however, receive their perforations after firing, by piercing the still hot and pliable glass with a hand-made, pointed metal tool. Firing takes place in clay kilns until the glass fuses.

There are three distinct styles of modern Krobo powder glass beads:

Krobo "Writing" beads

Fused glass fragment beads which are being made by fusing together fairly large bottle glass or glass bead fragments. These beads are translucent or semi-translucent and receive their perforations, as well as their final shapes, after firing.

Beads composed of two halves (usually bicones, occasionally spheres) that are being created from pulverized glass. The two halves are being joined together in a second, short firing process.

The "Mue ne Angma" or "Writing Beads", conventional powder glass beads made from finely ground glass, with glass slurry decorations that are being "written" on and fused in a second firing.

Akoso beads

Akoso beads

Older Ghanaian dry core powder glass beads, dating from the 1950s, are the Akoso beads, which were also manufactured by the Krobo. The most common colour of Akoso beads is yellow. There are also green, and rarely blue or black specimens. The glass surface is often worn away at the ends and around the beads' equator, exposing a grey core. The most prevalent decorations, preformed from strips of hot glass, were applied in patterns of cross-crossed loops, longitudinal stripes and circles. Glass from crushed Venetian beads was used for making the glass powder, and the decorative patterns were made of glass derived from Venetian beads, or from small whole Venetian beads such as so-called green heart and white-heart beads.

Meteyi beads

Ashanti, Meteyi beads

Meteyi beads were made by the Ashanti people of Ghana. Longitudinal seams that can often be observed on these beads give evidence that they were made in horizontal molds. Meteyi beads are often ellipsoid in cross section and they have a rough surface on the side which touched the bottom of the mold during firing. They can be opaque yellow, and more rarely, green, blue or white, with stripe decorations in combinations of blue, yellow, white or red. Manufacture ceased during the 1940s.

Ateyun beads

Another West African people known to produce powder glass beads are the Yoruba from Nigeria. Beads from their production differ technically from typical Ghanaian powder glass beads in that they are not made in molds and in the wet-core technique. Finely crushed glass is moistened with water and shaped by hand. The perforations are made before the beads are fired, using a pointed tool. So-called Ateyun beads were made in different shapes but always in red, to imitate real Mediterranean coral. Genuine coral was rare, but very much sought after and highly valued by the Yoruba people. Yoruba bead makers made their own imitations at more affordable prices.

Keta awuazi beads

Yoruba, Keta awuazi beads

Apart from red beads imitating coral, blue beads were also highly valued. Keta awuazi beads, originating from Nigeria or possibly Togo, were made in horizontal molds and mold marks are often evident along their sides. Keta awuazi beads are cylindrical in shape. Manufacture ceased during the 1940s. Krobo bead makers produced similar blue powder glass beads, using glass derived from cold cream jars to achieve the blue colouration.

Kiffa beads

Mauritanian Kiffa beads are also manufactured in the wet core technique. Glass which is finely crushed to a powder is mixed with a binder such as saliva or gum arabic diluted in water. Decorations are made from the glass slurry i.e. crushed glass mixed with a binder, and applied with a pointed tool, usually a steel needle. The beads are formed by hand and not placed in molds. The firing takes place in small containers, often sardine cans, in open fires.

Its legs are a turquise blue it has one of those big butts but its an oval shaped kinda up and down like. But its the color of a white opal and has black and yellow lines on it. its legs have little hairs that almost look like prickers and you can barely see its fangs because they are small but they look to be a dark blue. Hair coloring tips for natural dark hair?

I'm thinking of coloring my hair strawberry blonde or dark chestnut reddish brown. I'm planning to also color my eyebrows with the same hair color. Advisable? Kenta, only you can decide that. From reading your posts, I think you have a good head on your shoulders, so YOU decide what you want to do. Now if you do decide to color your hair, I have an opinion on the brow situation. Color them too. That's just my opinion though. I would remind you to keep in mind that such a thing is an ongoing process. Hair grows. At least IMHO, as a hair dye job grows out you start to look less than natural, if not flat out weird, if you don't have the process repeated on a regular basis.

Of course, your wedding centerpieces are the most logical place to introduce color. You will want the colors of the centerpieces to look nice with the bridesmaid dresses and to work with any décor in the room that you cannot change, like wall or carpet colors. This is not to say that you need to match the flowers to the colors in your venue if you do not particularly care for them; just make sure they don't clash. For instance, if your venue has brown carpeting, you could make the space feel lighter and more feminine by using a profusion of pink flowers. A mustard yellow wall color would recede in a room filled with rich purple blossoms. You get the concept.

Color can also be a very effective device to draw the eye away from an unattractive feature in a room. If your venue has an acoustic tile ceiling, pull the eye down with brightly colored table linens. No one will see the ceiling when the tables are adorned in fab lime green tablecloths. You can also use subdued or dark colors as a masking agent. For instance, sometimes a corner of a room will have some sort of ventilation work that is an eyesore. A screen in a dark color will make that area of the room a non-factor.

Even if you love your reception space just the way it is, you can still have fun introducing some pops of color to add visual interest. Classic white tablecloths will look much more special when they are topped with amethyst colored glass chargers under the place settings. Centerpieces with flowers in several shades of purple mixed with green accents would be the perfect finishing touch.

And don't forget about how the people in the wedding party will bring more color to a room. Think about how your bridesmaids' dresses will look in your reception venue.
