I'm thinking of coloring my hair strawberry blonde or dark chestnut reddish brown. I'm planning to also color my eyebrows with the same hair color. Do you think it's advisable to do so? or should I just leave my brows black? And I have a natural black hair, will I get a good result if I color it with blonde or reddish brown? Or should I bleach blonde my hair first before coloring it? Thank you..

Advisable? Kenta, only you can decide that. From reading your posts, I think you have a good head on your shoulders, so YOU decide what you want to do. Now if you do decide to color your hair, I have an opinion on the brow situation. Color them too. That's just my opinion though. I would remind you to keep in mind that such a thing is an ongoing process. Hair grows. At least IMHO, as a hair dye job grows out you start to look less than natural, if not flat out weird, if you don't have the process repeated on a regular basis.

As for results, I think you should discuss this with a reputable salon. Asking people here? I'm not the one to ask about that and I don't think you should trust anyone else either, unless they tell you to consult a professional.

The Beauty and Power of the Zebra

At first glance the zebra appears to be nothing more than a striped horse, but in fact the two are quite different. Zebras are truly unique animals, and they are one of the biggest draws at any zoo or wild animal park.

As one would expect, the zebra is a member of the horse family, and this unique and fascinating animal is native to central and southern parts of the African continent. All zebras have the easily identifiable black and white vertical stripes, but no two zebras will have the same stripe pattern.

The purpose of the zebra stripes has always been hotly contested, and it continues to be a bone of contention even today. At first, most scientists assumed that the stripe patterns of the zebra were used as camoflauge to hide the zebra from lions and other predators. Other zoologists believed that the stripe patterns were used by the zebras in social life and to distinguish between individual zebras. One of the most recent theories, and one that has been backed up by research, holds that the zebra uses its distinctive stripes as a sort of disruptive coloration to confuse the dangerous tsetse fly.

No matter what the purpose of the stripes, the zebra has been one of the most successful animals at surviving in a hostile world. The zebra can travel at a top speed of 55 kilometers per hour. This top speed is slower than that of the horse, but the zebra makes up for its lack of speed with greater stamina. During a single day a zebra can travel up to 40 kilometers from the herd and be back again in time for dark.

There are actually three species of zebra. The Plains Zebra is the most common type of zebra and it is well distributed throughout southern and eastern Africa. The Mountain Zebra is native to southwest Africa, and it has a sleeker coat than the other varieties. In addition, the Mountain Zebra has a white belly and narrower stripes than does the Plains Zebra. Lastly, the largest zebra is the Gravy's Zebra. This zebra is distinguished by its upright mane and its long, narrow head. The Gravy's Zebra is similar in appearance to the mule, and it is native to the grasslands of Somalia, Ethiopia and northern parts of Kenya.

Shouldn't we define what exactly the "Law of Evolution" is?

Evolution and the Law of Evolution are thrown about constantly, but without any respect to what it actually is. There are many independent facets of evolution, that we all just bundle up into a single word. Theirs micro-evolution, macro-evolution, and, on another level, macro-evolution of humanity. There are so many different things thrown together into 1-3 words, I don't really know how to respond. How am I supposed to answer the question "Do you believe in evolution" when I have no idea which evolution you're talking about.

You come across as really confused on the whole issue. But since you're asking, you're trying to become educated.

There are no 'independent facets of evolution'. Evolution is the simple CONSTATATION, FROM OBSERVATION OF AVAILABLE EVIDENCE, THAT LIVING THINGS HAVE CHANGED OVER TIME. The "Theory of evolution" (not the "Law of evolution") is the current, commonly accepted explanation of HOW this happened.

First of all, let's get rid of some misassumptions. Macro-evolution is just micro-evolution operating for a long enough time. There is no difference in the systems or in the mechanisms involved. It's like saying that walking ten miles requires a different technique than walking to the tool shed in your backyard. This is ridiculous.
Macro-evolution of humanity does not deserve a special category, not any more than the macro-evolution of armadillos or the macro-evolution of glow-worms.

If you believe in evolution, it is assumed that you believe that dogs haven't always been dogs, birds haven't always been birds, and humans haven't always been humans.
This does not mean, as some people argue, that dogs can turn into cats. It means that at some point in the past there has been a primitive animal from which both dogs and cats are derived, and is now extinct. Some speciation events (esp. domestications) are so recent that the ancestor is around even these days - ie Common Cordgrass and Small Cordgrass, Arabica coffee and Robusta coffee, emmer and wheat, maize and teosinte, wolf (or jackal) and dog.

If you don't believe in evolution, then you will have to ignore, or come up with a valid explanation for the avalanche of fossils found everywhere. Some have said these are the remnants of the animals that perished in the Flood, but the difference in age between oldest and newest fossils is greater than 40 days and 40 nights. Some have said God put them in the Earth when he created it, but a God creating the perfect deceipt does not come across as very loving. Some say all fossils are fake, but it's hard to believe all scientists have been in on this conspiracy for two hundred years and no one ever squealed. Fossils which are fake have been identified, some in a matter of months (e.g. Archaeoraptor)

What would look good in a light purple and white room?

My friend just painted her room light purple and bought white eligant/modern furniture. I think that black and white patterns would look GREAT in her room with so possible vintage accsesories. I dont think that she has a large buget at hand so maybe 100 is the highest. does anyone have ideas and patterns in black and white for her room?
